In 1959, a small group of Methodist Christian believers’ gathered in the home of Mrs . A. Sumithra at Wilson Garden initiated by a Senior member who was then the Director of Public Instruction of Karnataka.

A Kannada extension of Richmond Town Methodist Church (RTMC) was formed during Rev.David Seamand’s time as Pastor and District Superintendent. Later Mrs. & Mr.Peter, Mr.B.Sumanth Basme, and Bro. Guruprasad took the gospel from house to house and organized the Wilson Garden Methodist Church Fellowship.
Formerly, under the leadership of 19 Methodist Pastors and District Superintendents, this Church grew spiritually in leaps and bounds.

In 1962, two sites were purchased, one for the parsonage and the other for the church.
Rev.A.F.Scheneck built the church and parsonage and the congregation worshipped at this place,
which was a small asbestos-roofed church building.

In 1982 during the time when the late Rev.John Mark was the Pastor of Wilson Garden Methodist Church and District Superintendent of Bangalore district, the new church was constructed and dedicated to the glory of the Lord by the then Bishop Rev.M.Elia Peter on 15th June 1982. In the same year, the church appointed a local preacher to supervise the two preaching points at Hosa Road and Kempatti.

In 2009, the Church celebrated its golden jubilee, under the leadership of Bishop
Rev. Dr.Taranath S.Sagar with great joy and thanksgiving.

In 2010, As years passed and as the Lord has been working constantly, the church had 150 families as its active members and the church is growing fast. Through the constant prayers of church members and committed Pastorate committee members, under the leadership of the Pastor Rev.J.D.Vijaya Kumar, we decided to start the building project in 2 phases. In the first phase of construction, we completed the car parking basement, new parsonage, and the Church Office.
In 2012, by the grace of God, in the second phase, the new church was constructed on the first floor with an increased seating capacity from 200 to 700. The newly built church was dedicated to the glory of the Lord by the then Bishop Rev.Dr.Taranath S.Sagar on 23rd September 2012.

Stressed on holiness, a missionary movement, spreading the gospel not only for change of hearts, but also for the healing of the nations. The basis of belief and preaching is strongly founded on the holy scriptures, the Bible as word of God.
We believe in
The Holy Trinity
God is one. In the unity of this Godhead, there are three Persons, of one substance, power and eternity – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
We believe in
the Church.
The visible church of Jesus Christ is a congregation of faithful people both men and women where pure Word of God is preached and the holy sacraments duly administered according to Christ’s ordinance.
We believe in the Resurrection of Christ
Christ rose from the dead, ascended into Heaven and sitting at the right hand of God; and will return to judge all men.

We believe in the
Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God, equal to God the Father and the Son.
We believe in the
Holy Scriptures
The Holy Bible contains 66 books of the Old Testament and New Testament, that contained all things necessary to salvation.
We believe in
Jesus Christ
The Son who has the same divine nature as the Father, born of the virgin Mary; He is one Person fully divine and human. He suffered, was crucified, dead and buried to reconcile us to His
Father ,for sins of men.
We believe in the Sacraments
Sacraments are the marks of our Christian profession and also signs of God’s grace. The two sacraments ordained of Christ in the Gospel are Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
